[He moved the towel away for the moment as he moved back. it could have been worse, at least in his mind.]

[Be glad it didn't actually spread. That was thought on the others mans mind right about now.]

I will remember for next time to not start fires unless it's very controlled and for a prank.

[He was kidding and it was obvious in his voice, to say the least.]

You're welcome. Yeah, anything you cook on the stove, it's better to keep everything else off. Since it's operated by gas, that makes it more dangerous.

Spaghetti. Okay, so how's the pasta looking?

[Kaoru paused for a moment. Once he was sure the fire was out he looked over. The cooker was off too because of it.]

I'm going to go with overcooked now.

Very over cooked.

[Was that even a word?!]

It's too soggy, so we'll have to make another batch.

We thankfully do have some pasta left, so I can do another batch.

[Yes he was going to give it another try.]

Okay! Let's grab that and I'll dump this out.

[And get water. Chipper Bridget mode!]

[He nodded slightly as he moved to grab the pasta.]

Okay, so I need water to boil right?

Yep. Boil water first. Once boiled, we can add some.

So the first thing I did was add the water to the pan.

[he made sure he had a new pan for obvious reasons before putting water in and putting it on the cooker. Soon he was just going to watch quietly.]

Uh huh. Then we just wait.

[He waits for the water to boil.]

Okay, go ahead and add the pasta.

[Kaoru simply nodded before adding the pasta, he was pretty sure that would be enough but it's better to have too much than too little.]

See this part I got and did before. It was the whole..do not put stuff that burns on the cooker.

[Sure! More pasta the better, long as it's under the boiling water... yeah, that's what he thinks.]

It's okay, you're doing great. It's the waiting game now... and not catching anything on fire this time.

[Maybe he better double check while he's at it, and clear all fire hazards.]

[He was pretty sure that nothing was around that could be set on fire except for their own clothing. But he was sure you'd have to be really stupid for that

But he was going to another counter to lean on it.]

How long does pasta normally cook for?

[Checking was all fine and dandy, but he figured he'd need a basic amount of time before it would be finished cooking.]

Eight to ten minutes, depends how much you put in there.

You gotta stir it too so it doesn't stick in the pot. It's kinda like instant noodles.

Enough for two people.

But oh, I know a tiny bit about instant noodles.
